Early Gifts Ideas, Sale Items, And New Inventory At Acme!

“I don’t accept gifts from perfect strangers — but then, nobody’s perfect.”
— Zsa Zsa Gabor

With Fall firmly here, the holiday gift and home shopping season is afoot!  In this newsletter, we are offering some early gift ideas, big discounts this weekend on select items, and a preview of some new and incoming inventory (be sure to scroll down to the bottom to see some of the amazing stuff coming in!).  On the horizon, expect our full holiday gift idea guide soon, and extended hours and specials coming up for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.

Lots of great small gifts available at Acme!  Many in the $25-100 range.

With the holiday shopping season starting, we thought we would give you some ideas for early gift giving.  Next Friday is “Black Friday,” and Saturday is “Small Business Saturday,” with a lot of people expected in Old Town.  Newsletter subscribers, at least those that actually read my pearls of wisdom this week, can ask for next weekend’s discounts this weekend!  You must mention this to get the discount!

One special we are featuring this weekend and next is a special buy on the iconic Lytegem lamp.  Designed by Michael Lax in 1965, this lamp is featured in the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).  In 2003, for their 100th anniversary, the manufacturer, Lightolier, brought back a commemorative edition of the long-discontinued Lytegem.

The anniversary edition of the Lytegem features the same design as the 1965 classic, and incredibly cool packaging based on the original.

We were fortunate to obtain a large batch of black new, unopened “new old stock” Lytegems — the proverbial “back of the warehouse find!”  These are priced at $115, but we are offing at a 15% discount for the next couple of weeks, as these make a great gift.

Another great gift option is our selection of vintage “Senshukai” wood pet figures.  Inspired by Danish modern design, the Senshukai were made in Japan during the 1960s.  We have received several shipments from Japan recently, in preparation for the holidays.  Great for adults or older children, these collectibles also make a great gift.  We currently have all varieties, including some in the original boxes.  $25 to $75 each.  We will gladly ship these to you for a small charge.

Acme is an authorized dealer for new Nambé products, which include a number of great gifts for the home and kitchen:

Acme also carries fine Cristophe Pourny wood and leather care products, which make great gifts.  The author of “The Furniture Bible,” Pourny produces a number of high-quality oils, tonics, waxes and other items for the care and restoration of wood and leather.

We need to make room for some wonderful new inventory coming in soon!
